I’m passionate about preparing and eating salads. Not because I want to lose weight but it gives me joy and satisfaction preparing colorful yet fresh, fast and flavorful food.
Aside from their natural good taste and great crunchy texture alongside wonderful colors and fragrances, eating a large serving of fresh, raw vegetables each day can have significant health benefits too.
These are the top 15 all time favourite of mine. My own recipe and my own Style!
1) Spinach-fruity Salad
Thai honey mango, strawberries, blueberries, feta cheese, mixed nuts, organic baby spinach with balsamic dressing and olive oil or avocado oil.
2) Spinach-berries Salad
I got this idea from Brotziet restaurant when we had dinner. But I changed the style a bit.. pomegranate, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and mixed nuts with vinaigrette dressing.
3) Grilled Salmon Salad
I will never get bored of eating this meal over and over again. Simple. What you see is what you get. Just add avocado oil as dressing. That’s it! By the way, I love grilling the cheery tomatoes, it’s tastier and juicier!
4) Avocado Salad
Almost the same as #1 but I replaced with avocado and sweet orange and more nuts! See, that’s the good thing about salads – you can just mix and play with ingredients.
5) Chicken-Broccoli Salad
Sauté breast chicken with olive oil, herbs, chickpeas and vinaigrette. Then blanch broccoli and mix them with avocado oil as dressing.
6) Salmon Broccoli Salad
Grill salmon and broccoli with mixed herbs and olive oil. Then add your favorite dressing. That’s it!
7) Green Salad
Obviously, it’s green without egg and carrot. To make it tastier sprinkle with bacon and add garlic dressing.
8) Salmon Caesar Salad
Alright, it’s the famous Caesar salad! Add grilled salmon and garlic dressing.
9) Smoked Salmon Salad
It’s basically a Caesar salad style with parmesan cheese and smoked salmon then top it with garlic bread.
10) Avocado Romaine Salad
This is a vegetable salad with avocado and avocado dressing too. I love the crunchiness of romaine lettuce and capsicum sprinkled with chia seeds.
11) Egg-Salmon Salad
Grilled salmon with thyme, basil and olive oil. Blanch asparagus. Then add vinaigrette as dressing.
12) Crunchy-Munchy Salad
It’s crunchy because of the croutons which I recycled – almost expiring wholemeal bread (heat it in the oven for few minutes to make it crunchy) 😊
13) Egg with Avocado
If you notice, they are almost the same. Yes. One thing I’d like about salad, you can just mix and match. Change the dressing and make some experiment. What you think is nice – just do it!
14) Quinoa with Tomato
Just add tomato, pumpkin, chickpeas and basil leaves to your favorite quinoa. Perfect for lunch!
15) Garlic Shrimp Broccoli
Sauté shrimp with olive oil and oyster sauce. Then add broccoli. Done!
