When it comes to breakfast rankings, oatmeal is pretty much at the bottom of the totem pole. Very few people actually want to eat oatmeal because it’s kinda boring. But to me, it’s the best – easiest, quickest, tastiest and healthiest.
Yes, I know eating the same food every day gets boring. The nice thing about oatmeal is its versatility. Look at oatmeal as a base for a variety of flavors. Top it with fresh berries and walnuts one day and sliced apples and cinnamon the next. Stir in some mashed banana and peanut butter or top with yogurt. Get creative but keep it healthy and be mindful of any calories you add.
